We are hiring farm workers for the 2023 season!

We are hiring one full season farm worker from early March to Mid-Sept for 28-35 hours per week

and one part time farm worker for 15 hours a week from March to mid-Sept.

 

The work week is from Tuesday through Friday.  Early morning starts are required with early finish when the days are hot in August. The morning starts may change with the seasons as the days become longer and the heat starts early. (we need to harvest early in the coolness of the mornings).

 

We require a full season commitment

 

There will be an opportunity to work extra hours helping at the farmers market and when needed to bring in the larger harvests.

 

Wage; $18-$20/hour dependent on experience. 

 

 

There is a self-contained tiny house available for seasonal accommodation on the farm

Mission

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and good communication skills. Punctuality is important. Attention to detail a must.

You must be physically able to lift 50lbs as well as kneel, bend and squat for long periods

We work outside in all weather conditions. You will need to be comfortable in sun, rain and mud!

 

 

Some previous farm experience is an asset however we are willing to train someone who is a good fit to our team.

 

 

Relevant Assets:

Previous labor experience, ie landscaping, carpentry

Ability to absorb, integrate and execute detailed instructions and feedback

Strong observation skills

Detail oriented

Ability to adapt to changing job conditions and priorities

Problem solving skills

 

 

Job details:

Throughout the season daily tasks are diverse and may include any combination of but are not limited to

Field cultivation with hand tools, Weeding, Seed starting, Transplanting, Pruning greenhouse crops, Harvesting vegetables and flowers by hand, Stocking the farm stand, Wash & pack duties, Bin washing, Field clean-up, Flower processing.

We work hard, quickly and value efficiency in all our movements on the farm.
